This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, Youniverse. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Youniverse offers an optional login. If you do not create an account or sign in, Youniverse does not collect or store any personal information, and all of your data stays only on your device, as described below.

If you choose to sign in to enable syncing your data across multiple devices, we collect the following in order to provide that feature:

• Account identifiers (such as your email address or the identifier provided by your sign-in method)
• Your user-generated content (such as goals, affirmations, visualizations, journal entries, or rituals), so it can be synced and made available across your signed-in devices

Separately, we may collect non-personal data through Firebase Analytics and Google AdMob to enhance user experience, improve app performance, and serve relevant advertisements, regardless of whether you are signed in:

• Screen visits
• Button clicks
• Manifest session completion status
• App crashes and errors
• Advertising identifiers (collected by Google AdMob for ad personalization and analytics)

If you do not sign in, we do not collect and store your user-generated data such as goals, affirmations, visualizations, journal entries, or rituals; all of it is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app without having signed in will erase this data unless backed up by your device’s OS (e.g., iCloud or Google Drive).

Signing in is optional. It exists solely so that, if you want it, your data can be synced and kept up to date across multiple devices.

• If you don’t sign in, your data never leaves your device.
• If you sign in, your user-generated content is stored on our servers so it can be synced to any device where you sign in with the same account.
• You can sign out at any time. Signing out stops future syncing, but does not automatically delete data already stored on our servers.
• You can request deletion of your account and any associated data stored on our servers by contacting us at the email address below.

We use the data collected via Firebase Analytics and Google AdMob to:

• Understand user interactions and app usage
• Improve app features and functionality
• Monitor app performance and identify potential issues
• Deliver personalized advertisements based on user interests and behavior

If you sign in, we use your account identifier and synced content solely to authenticate you and to sync your data across your devices. We do not use this data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

If you do not sign in, Youniverse does not collect personal information, and your user-generated data resides solely on your device and is not uploaded to external servers.

If you sign in, your account identifier and synced user-generated content are stored securely on our servers (via our backend/authentication provider) so that they can be synced across your devices. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect this data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Youniverse integrates third-party services that may collect and process data:

• Firebase Analytics: Youniverse uses Firebase Analytics to track usage data. Firebase Analytics may collect data as described in their privacy policy. You can review their policy here: Google Analytics for Firebase Terms

• Google AdMob: Displays advertisements that may collect and use data, including device identifiers and behavioral information, for personalized ads. Learn more by reviewing Google’s privacy policy and AdMob’s data usage.

• Authentication & Sync Provider: If you choose to sign in, Youniverse uses a third-party authentication and/or cloud storage provider to manage sign-in and to store and sync your account data and user-generated content across devices.

By using Youniverse, you acknowledge that these third-party services may process your data in accordance with their privacy policies.

Managing Your Data and Preferences:

You can opt out of data collection by Google AdMob by adjusting your device settings.

You can opt out of personalized ads by adjusting your device’s ad settings (Android: Google Settings > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization; iOS: Settings > Privacy > Advertising > Limit Ad Tracking).

To restrict analytics tracking, refer to Google’s privacy settings.

If you have signed in, you can stop syncing at any time by signing out, and you can request deletion of your account and synced data by contacting us.

Youniverse may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage users to read the privacy policies of any linked site they visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in the app’s features or services. Users are encouraged to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
